Rules and procedures

In this section you will find the legal rules that govern cases in the Tribunal. The Interim Practice Directions and Guidance supplement the Rules and also explain how they are applied.

The Fees Order makes fees payable at different stages of the Tribunal proceedings. The amount of the fees and the stage at which they are payable is set out in the Schedule to the Fees Order. Please note that cheques for fees should be made payable to the "Tribunals Service".

You may also wish to refer to the Explanatory Leaflet, which provides an overview of the work of the Tribunal and the different steps for beginning an application, reference or appeal in the Tribunal. There is a flowchart for each of the main types of cases that the Tribunal deals with. The flowcharts provide a summary of the steps that apply in each of the different procedures that might apply to your case.
